Whenever I make a trip back home to Hawaii, I immediately make a pit stop for a spicy ahi bowl — usually at Foodland for $5. It’s been months, however, and I can’t seem to find a good joint for decent spicy ahi poke anywhere in San Francisco. If you have any tips, please send them my way! To fill that void, I finally attempted to make my own with sushi style rice. It was pretty amazing, but I tend to tweak and perfect this to my belly’a content.
